Spiritual Life

Prayer and worship are an integral part of our daily routine at Saint George. The college day starts with Morning Prayer during tutor time to provide the focus for the day. We have our own chapel and tutor groups take turns to use the chapel as a more formal setting for their morning prayers. There are a variety of different liturgical celebrations that are observed throughout the year. The services are largely voluntary but it is assumed that all Catholic students will attend. During the college year the RE dept runs trips for various groups of students to Park Place for day retreats and to visit the Catholic cathedral of St John in Portsmouth.

Saint George, as part of the Portsmouth diocese, is a community enhanced by it's Christian ethos and is supportive of all students whatever their faith. The Catholic calendar is observed throughout the year, with Masses being led by priests from supporting parishes
